The Bassbarr Hounds have now been in Slovenia for thirteen months. We are happy to be living in such a beautiful country, and hope that we will make this our permanent home. It takes some time to settle into a new environment, but with the help and support of our friends we are gradually adapting. Learning the language may take a little longer! As always we have a strong team of stud dogs, including the latest arrival from the UK: WOFERLOW BORDER PATROL, and can offer males to complement most bloodlines. At the World show in Poland last november, both the male and female World Winners were out of bitches from our kennel, both of them daughters of our recently departed Bassbarr Festive Cheer.(An O'Sullivan grandson) We often have puppies for sale, both for the show ring or as breeding stock. Sometimes an older puppy or a young adult is available to the right home. Bassbarr basset hounds are known for their excellent temperaments, and make a wonderful addition to a family, even when they are not expected to grace the showrings! It gives enormous pleasure to know that our puppies are so much appreciated by their new owners, and we are always ready to offer help and advice to anyone who requires it. ![]() Anyone wanting advice or help is most welcome to contact me. My opportunities to be present in the showring have been much reduced in recent years, for various reasons, but I am proud of the animals being shown by other kennels who keep the flag flying for us.
